Wireless Client Application Developer
Responsibilities
• Design and develop mobile BREW and J2ME applications
• Port existing BREW J2ME applications to new handsets
• Support applications after launch, including bug fixes and enhancements
• Demonstrate professional maturity and flexibility by working with cross-functional teams
to meet project deadlines
• Demonstrate attention to detail, ensuring excellent code quality and documentation
Requirements
• At least 2+ years of hands-on experience in C/C++ programming
• Understanding of wireless technologies like BREW, J2ME, WAP, SMS, MMS,
wireless networks is useful but not required
• Experience with call-back programming techniques and low-level socket communications
• Experience with Databases (MySQL and/or Postgres) and Server side programming.
• Self motivated, highly proactive and reliable. Team player. Ability to excel under pressure.
• Experience with software development methodology, source code control,
bug tracking system.
• BS/MS Computer Science or equivalent.
• Training may be available for the right candidate

Senior Level Programmer
We are seeking a senior level programmer to assist our project development team in the design and implementation of a new Wireless Search Engine. You will be expected to take a substantial role in the development and maintenance of the application. The applicant is expected to have a demonstrable track record in design and development including:
• Experienced with Unix a must
• XML, data feeds, data parsing issues
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Wireless protocol knowledge SMS, WAP, Java, Brew
• Code and debug (recent experience required)
• Design and code unit and stress tests
• Strong Database skills
Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize and estimate time to completion dates is expected. The candidate must be willing to work additional hours to meet constantly challenging deadlines. The applicant will have:
• At minimum a Bachelors degree (CS focus is desirable)
• At least 6 years application programming experience using C, and C++ and PHP/Perl.
• At minimum 2 year SQL experience using any one of the top database vendors product
(SYBASE, ORACLE, Microsoft SQL or MYSQL)
• At minimum 2 years experience working with different codecs and transcoding engines
A proven track record deploying product is a must.

We are looking for an outstanding individual with experience in creating mobile clients on J2ME, BREW, and WAP. Knowledge of server based services, and cellular infrastructure is also essential. You will be responsible for building out the UpSNAP service across multiple-handsets taking advantage of the rich media possibilities in smart-phone devices. The applicant will have:
• Strong proven experience building mobile client platforms preferably across a range of
clients
• Knowledge of SMS, MMS and cellular operating environments

Upsnap is currently seeking a business development/marketing sales professional that specializes in media. Client is looking for new channels of business through media (TV, radio, web, etc.) and they seek someone with a strong media background. Candidate could come from an online magazine, the online business unit of a TV channel, or the interactive division of a successful firm that uses e-commerce. Candidate should have strong, high level contacts within the media space. This role requires the candidate to develop and maintain relationships within the media space.
Position will be located in San Francisco or Charlotte, NC.
Compensation package is very attractive with several components.
