Bruce Howard – Chairman
Mr. Howard brings over 25 years of sales, marketing, production, publishing, new market development, and general management experience in both the competitive and utility telephone directory publishing industry. His experience and reputation are widely recognized in the directory publishing industry. Over the course of his career, Mr. Howard has worked with companies including Ameritech Advertising Services, Southeast Directory Company, and America’s Directories South. He holds a BA degree in Business Administration from Alma College in Alma, Michigan, and has completed the majority of coursework toward a Master of Science in Management from Walsh College in Troy, Michigan. Mr. Howard has been the CEO of UFM since August 1999.
Michael Inskip – Lead Independent Director
Michael Inskip has expertise in global sales, all aspects of marketing, business development and business operations for both public and early stage private companies. He has served as the Chairman and CEO of both Thoroughbred Capital and WorkHorse Capital which were Capital Pool Companies on the TSX-V. Mr. Inskip was a member of the Board of Directors of Sunora Foods Inc. and LeoNovus Inc. which were listed on the TSX-V. From May 2005 to May 2008, he served as Director of Sales, Marketing and Business Operations of TSX-V listed Enablence Technologies Inc. Mr. Inskip was responsible for Marketing for Iridian Spectral Technologies which was acquired by JDS Uniphase. Mr. Inskip holds a Bachelor of Arts (Law) from Carleton University, an International Business Diploma from Algonquin College and an International Trade Diploma from the Forum for International Trade Training Program (FITT). He has an Executive Certificate in Management and Leadership from the MIT Sloan School of Management, and he has completed the Executive Program in Venture Capital at UC Berkeley.
Heather Burrer has served in an executive leadership and legal advisory role with User Friendly Media since 2006 and with UpSnap since 2014. Mrs. Burrer is responsible for all legal and business affairs functions at UpSnap, including general corporate, intellectual property, litigation, employment matters and risk management. In addition to her legal role she also directs the Human Resource, Recruitment, Training, and Digital Operations and provides guidance on general business matters. Mrs. Burrer earned her Juris Doctorate degree from South Texas College of Law and her Bachelor of Arts from Southwestern University where she majored in Political Science and Communications. Mrs. Burrer has applied her legal training in a variety of legal environments. Most recently, her work with Fulbright and Jaworski, LLP has prepared her to handle general corporate, corporate governance, and other areas complementary to in-house corporate law for UpSnap.
Trisha McLean has served in senior level marketing roles for more than 15 years with a specific focus on strategic business development and B2B and B2C marketing communications. Her core focus has been in the field of brand strategy and market expansion. Ms. McLean’s marketing expertise encompasses both traditional advertising media and the digital space. In Ms. McLean’s current role with Tucows, Inc, Ting Mobile and Ting.com she is responsible for directing US market expansion and customer acquisition. Ms. McLean’s current and prior roles, including previous positions at Yellow Pages Group and Auto Trader, have enabled her to work with many digital platforms including; apps, paid search, display, remarketing, video and social marketing. Ms. McLean earned her Bachelor of Applied Arts, Marketing from Ryerson Polytechnic University.
Mr. Andri has a 20-year track record of consistently delivering exceptional results, building high performance teams and creating winning cultures. His background includes a blend of sales, marketing and operational experience in the Technology, Telecom and Consumer Products sectors. Mr. Andri is currently Managing Director and President of Avaya Canada where he oversees the sales, service and support across Avaya’s Engagement, Customer Experience Management, Networking, Services and Small and Medium Business technologies. Prior to joining Avaya, he was Senior Vice President of Primus Telecommunications, playing a critical role in driving growth and leading the transformation of one of the Canada’s largest alternative telecommunications service providers. Also, he was Vice President, Small and Medium Business at TELUS, Vice President Channels for Koodo Mobile, and has held senior leadership roles at Virgin Mobile, Philips Consumer Products and GE. Mr. Andri holds an MBA from Queen’s University and an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration from Brock University.
